Kelly Tarltons

Room 12 and 15 had a great over night adventure at Kelly Tarlton's recently.

When I was going to bed, I heard a BANG! It was a shark with teeth as sharp as a sword.  Then it glided over me and my friend, as we lay in our sleeping bags. I loved watching the sharks. When we were talking a big, fat stingray came along. He floated over us like a wave gliding through the shadow.

As the cute, baby penguin walked, my eyes followed its shaky path. All of a sudden another one gracefully zoomed out of the water, then right back in again.

Our sleeping bags were laid out by Dory's tank. We waited for dory to peep out - but she never did. I hopped into my sleeping bag. Bubble, bubble, blurp, went the fish tank. My friend fell into a deep sleep, while I had a restless sleep.

Crack! Click! It sounded like gunshots! Wphew! It was just torches clicking on.
"Wow! Look at that sharks eyes," said Levi.
"Creepy!" Kate agreed.
"Come on," I cried. "Let's go see the octopus."
We walked on , quickly and silently, but then we saw lots of fish. We were so excited.
"Let's see the seahorses," I said.
Levi lead the way. It was awesome. I thought that it could never end - but then....Click! All the lights came on and the torches turned off.

Junior Production

Our classes dance for the Junior school production was Rock 'n' Roll.

We studied Rock and Roll and watched many dance videos on You Tube. The dancing was very different then.

We practised different dance moves. We finally decided on the moves that we liked and the moves that would fit with our chosen music - Rock and Roll Music by Chuck Berry.

We got to get all dressed up. We looked cool. We loved it.

Check out the photos of us all dressed up.

Corban's Art Centre

The Tree of Life

We had a great time at Corban's Art Centre. We learnt many fun ways to do our art.  Blending paint to make an interesting background and leaves.

We loved the final product - with just a bit to finish at class.

Rather late - but we really enjoyed making our Lava Lamps.

They bubbled away for ages and were really cool!

Oobleck

Oobleck

We all love oobleck!!

It's so awesome to have something that is a liquid AND a solid!

This term we are Inquiring about science.

'What's the Matter'

To start the term we made 'Herman the German friendship cake'

To make this cake you first make a starter.

You keep this starter for 10 days!!

You actually have to feed it - because it gets hungry!!

If it bubbles - It's alive.

If you put it in the fridge it will die.

After 10 days we got to make a cake.  It was REALLY yummy!

Some of us took some home to make our own cakes.
